Hold On To What We’ve Been Given In Christ! (Hebrews 13:12-16, Hebrews 13:20-21)

The book of Hebrews, from which our text is taken, was originally written to Jews who had become Christians. They were facing serious persecution for their faith, to the point that some of them had property taken away (He. 10:34). So that they wouldn’t be persecuted any more, they were tempted to give up their Christian faith and go back to the Jewish religion. Throughout the book of Hebrews the Lord urged them not to return to that religion that has no Jesus, but to keep holding on to Jesus and their eternal salvation in Him. That leads us to our theme: HOLD ON TO WHAT WE’VE BEEN GIVEN IN CHRIST!
