The Faith God Gives Us (Hebrews 11:1-3)

How do we know that Mary’s baby Jesus, whose birth we just celebrated, is also the Son of God? How do we know that Jesus truly worked the astounding miracles the Bible says He did? How do we know that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and the sins of the whole world, and that He rose again and is alive? How do we know that Jesus is going to take us to heaven one day? We know all these things and more by faith.
What is faith? Some people think that faith is believing in yourself. Some think that faith is believing that somehow (they don’t know how) things will turn out all right. Some think that faith is believing in your own ability to believe (which is very confusing).
