Forgiven, And Called To Serve (Acts 4:8-12)

Dear fellow believers in the living Christ,
Last Sunday we heard about Peter’s miraculous healing of a lame man, enabling him to walk.
Peter told everyone there he had healed the man by the power of Jesus Christ (Ac. 3:1f.). Peter
and John, who was with him, spoke to the people about Jesus and how He is the fulfillment of
the Old Testament prophecies of the Savior. The result was that “many of those who heard the
Word believed, about five thousand … men,” not counting women and children (Ac. 4:4).
